PCM INNOVATION announces the acquisition of TECHFAB Inc. which will now

operate under the name of PCM TECHFAB Inc., as a division of the group.

PCM INNOVATION is a leader and integrator in engineering and tooling solutions for the

industry. The company offers assembly lines, manufacturing fixtures, molds for

advanced composites and prototypes or short-run production parts. Its customers

operate mainly in the aviation and space sectors as well as in the transportation and

energy fields.

TECHFAB, with more than 25 years of manufacturing experience and originally known

as Techfab Gauthier Inc., is a company specializing in assembly workstations and

tooling for aerospace, as well as a specialized sub-contractor in CNC 5-axes machining,

turning and gun-drilling.

Merging the capabilities of both companies will enable to better serve the Quebec

aerospace cluster with a facility in Montreal-Est, which will count 50 highly specialized


François Cyr, the current President, will become the Executive Director of the new PCM

division. He explains the transaction as follows, “After developing Techfab’s areas of

expertise and having acquired a solid reputation in the aerospace market, it was time to

join a group like PCM INNOVATION, whereby its size can support major projects and

continue our international growth. ”

Solange Fresneau, current Vice President, will take on new responsibilities within PCM

Group headquarters as Director of Corporate Affairs and Administration.

About the transaction, Jean-Francois Hamel, Chairman and CEO of PCM INNOVATION,

states, “our Ste. Clair site near Quebec City, specializing in large aero-structures and

solutions for satellites, is running at full capacity for quite some time; adding PCM

TECHFAB’s capacity and additional manufacturing technologies allows us to better

respond to the growing demand from our US and Mexican markets, furthermore

deepening our expertise in the manufacturing of equipment for aero-engines “.



The PCM INNOVATION group now counts about 200 employees.
