The synergy created by Solange Fresneau and François Cyr has been noticed by La Presse.

Solange shared her experience and revealed the elements of win-win formula, which have contributed to harmonize her personal life with family business for the past six years.

In this interview, you realize the importance of establishing and defining the rules, responsibilities, and the roles that each member of the couple must follow in order to lead the company and the family to a safe port.

In this meeting Mr Cyr spoke about his own experience and that of Ms Solange Freneau, in Techfab and Jetcut.

He spoke about the process that had started when they took over from Techfab Gautier in 2010 and the changes operated in the organization by acquiring Jetcut.

It is important during the transfer that the buyers, Mr Cyr and Ms Freneau, must play a leadership role because they have to innovate, to evolve maintaining the expertise, the experience and the values that were transmitted by the founders of these companies.

If you look at the results of Techfab, we can ensure that this succession has been successful since, Mr Cyr and Ms Fresneau have managed to mobilize and involve all their employees around this business project; they knew how to assume their leadership role and continue to create the necessary conditions to stand out and succeed in a highly competitive market.

 So, we still want to share with you our achievements of 2011, among which we got the Award Transfer business in the Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest; also, TechFab acquired Jetcut Tools and the employees are well integrated; and, we also want to mention our community involvement in the campaign “The East reveals its true nature”.

 We begin this year with the commitment towards the quality of service and products that we feature. We are now becoming AS9100C.

Techfab is proud to have the technology for cutting tools and to include it among its specialized products in the aeronautical sector. It is a valuable expertise which completes its range of services for the clients of this niche.

This acquisition will allow Techfab, which also operates in the specialiazed tooling in the aerospace industry, to further develop its services with its clients. The president of Techfab, François Cyr, explained that all Jetcut Tool employees will be retained and transferred to its facilities of Marien and Laurendeau streets, in Montreal East.

The turnover of Techfab could increase by about 30% due to this new acquisition alone.

The conference will also present tools for assessing the value of the company and the human dimension of a business transfer.
